The gTech Ads team is a solution-generating force that helps our sales teams and advertisers. These solutions need to be scalable to support millions of customers worldwide. In addition to troubleshooting on the customer side, we work with Sales, Product and Engineering teams within Google to develop better tools and services to improve our products based on the evolving needs of our users. As a cross-functional and global team, it’s our job to help keep the lights on and the ads fresh.
gTech Ads is a team with the vision of providing best-in-class service for all of Google’s Advertising clients. As a Data Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll design and develop the data systems, reporting tools, and structured analyses to ensure that the gTech Ads team members have the support and operational insights they need to make crucial business decisions. You’ll have the opportunity to design innovative data solutions and solve challenging problems using Google’s large-scale production data infrastructure.
- Design, develop, and support data warehouses, dashboards, and reporting tools for operational and business impact data.
- Write extract, transform, and loads (ETL) to automate routine data collection and reporting processes using a variety of traditional as well as large-scale distributed data systems.
- Work with Business Analysts and other non-technical business users to understand their analytical needs, document and prioritize requirements, and to help them effectively use the data and analytical tools that the team has developed.
- Write and review end-user documentation and technical documents, including requirements and design documents for existing and future data systems.
The Google Technical Services team (known as gTech) provides technical expertise across all Google products to support our global Sales, Business Development and Partnerships teams. We fix any issues on behalf of customers and partners so that our sales teams can focus on what they do best. We collaborate closely with Google’s engineering groups to create technical solutions that enable our sales organization to help our customers’ businesses grow.
